It’s official. Michael Patrick King confirmed that there will be an SATC sequel. He and all four girls have already signed their deals.

Hmm. I don’t know how I feel about this. I liked the series, but I wasn’t too thrilled about the first movie. I actually liked the fact that they ended it the way they did, because it put a period on the entire Carrie-Big saga (which was prolonged enough as it is). Or so I thought. Now what could they possibly come up with this time? A baby? A divorce scare? A baby AND a divorce scare?
On the other hand, it is an enjoyable franchise especially if you’ve been a fan of the series. Critics probably won’t enjoy this one, but if all you’re looking for is a good movie night out with your girl friends, a sequel wouldn’t hurt at all.
Yes, a sequel I can take. The thought of a prequel starring Miley Cyrus, however, makes me cringe.
